A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the competitors, referees, volunteers and families who made our 19th Annual Rocky Mountain Championship a great success! We had over 300 competitors from the United States (including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Northern California, Southern California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin) as well as some international competitors from El Salvador and Venezuela! Would you like to have a better understanding of how to read the flags and hand signals from the judges and referees at tournaments? Thinking about volunteering as a scorekeeper during our Rocky Mountain Championship in May, but would feel more comfortable with some training first? Sign up for a few hours or all day. There are volunteer opportunities on Friday night from 8 – 9 pm (13th) to set up and between 6:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday (14th). Once again, it is our tradition to finish the year with our IMA Unity Tournament. The purpose of this tradition is for IMA students and IMA friends from different locations to meet each other and have a nice, friendly gathering. This is designed for all ages and levels (white to black belt). In addition to the tournament, we will have our annual Holiday Party Potluck, (a free event) with dinner entertainment by our very own karate-ka at 6:00 p.m. (cocktail attire).
