Gasshuku & Kangeiko

Summer & Winter Training

What is Gasshuku?
Gasshuku is our summer training camp. Held the last weekend of September Or first part of October every year, training starts on Friday evening and finished on Sunday afternoon.
Over the past years, Gasshuku offers our students a chance to be trained by guest instructors to enhance and augment our regular training. Our prestigious guest instructors have included Sensei Kiyoshi Yamazaki, Sensei Hideharu Igaki, Sensei Mantilla, Sensei Richoux, Sensei Baxter and many others.
Spending the weekend together training also helps build student friendships. In addition to all the hard training, we also find time to socialize and have fun! Gasshuku shouldn't be missed.

What is Kangeiko?
Kangeiko is a special martial arts tradition in Japan. It is a week of "Winter" training. Our Kangeiko meets from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM for six consecutive days in late winter every year.
Students who are interested should be willing and able to participate the entire week in order to earn a free souvenir made specially for this training. All participants are invited for a special group breakfast on Saturday at camp conclusion.
Be sure to look for sign up sheet on line as well as on the front desk as space is limited. See you bright and early in February.
